Students who crave the spicier things in life will be happy to know a Buffalo Wild Wings will soon make its way to State College.

The new establishment will be located in front of the Giant Food Stores off of North Atherton Street and Blue Course Drive, Ferguson Township Director of Planning and Zoning Ray Stolinas said.

“The new Buffalo Wild Wings will not be breaking ground anytime soon, as we’re still in the preliminary stages of planning,” Stolinas said.

In order for construction to begin, developers will need to pass a series of inspections, Stolinas said. He estimates it could take up to three years before the State College Buffalo Wild Wings opens its doors.

The new establishment will occupy 5,440 square feet and will offer both indoor and outdoor seating with approximately 240 seats.

There is also a likely possibility the State College location will offer alcoholic beverages as the franchise is known for providing a variety of craft and domestic beers.

The State College location will most likely apply for a liquor license soon, Stolinas said.

Stolinas believes Buffalo Wild Wings will be a great addition to State College.
